autoGYRO Video Demonstration Page
USD Driving Behavior Laboratory

A brief  video demonstrating the sensitivity of the autoGYRO can be downloaded and played in a separate window by clicking one of the links below.  Note, however, that these video clips are very large (in terms of megabyte transfer requirements).   Hence, they are best reserved for those with very high speed Internet connections.

Description of demonstration video:
Video from three channels was collected while one of the experimenters was driving the USD instrumented research vehicle.  The 1st video channel captured the driver's forward-view of the road. The 2nd video channel captured the driver's behavior behind the wheel. The 3rd video channel captured performance parameters output from the control computer in text and graphical format.  The three channels of video were combined via a quad-splitter and presented upon a single screen.  The output of the autoGYRO sensor is graphically displayed at the bottom of the video quadrant containing the computer output.  This graphical display is scaled to plus/minus 1000 (representing an angular yaw rate of +/- 3 degrees/sec).  Full range sensor output is +/- 32768 (i.e., +/- 100 deg/sec).
